Can You Really Reach Weight Loss Goals on the 21 Day Fix?
You’ve no doubt heard about the Insanity and P90X fitness programs from Beachbody, but have you heard of the company’s 21 Day Fix for weight loss? What’s it all about, and can it really help you reach your weight loss goals? We explain it all below so you can make the wisest choice when it comes to the path that you’ll take to reach your target weight.
What Is the 21 Day Fix?
You can access the 21 Day Fix weight loss program on the Beachbody website. There, you will be able to begin following the workout plan, which includes various types of exercise programs, such as cardio, strength training, yoga, Pilates, Barre, and core.
In addition to purchasing the program, you will also need some workout gear to move through the workouts. Those include resistance bands or dumbbells, and an optional core comfort mat.
Note: when you follow the 21 Day Fix program for fitness and weight loss, you might be able to lose upwards of 15 pounds in a mere three weeks. Not bad!
How Does It Work?
Beachbody gives you the calendar of workouts to follow, along with nutritional tips that you can use in order to reach your weight loss goals.
- You start by calculating your calorie needs. Don’t worry, the program tells you how to do the math, so it’s nice and simple.
- The plan will help you figure out what’s known as a daily container allowance, as you’re going to be using an 8-ounce container for fruit, another 8-ounce container for vegetables, a 6-ounce container for protein, a 5.3-ounce container for carbs, and a couple of 2.7-ounce containers for dressings and seeds, along with the brand’s Shakeology cup that can be used to make shakes.
- The program will then help you figure out how much of each container you can eat in order to stay within your caloric needs every day, without going overboard.
What about the workout schedule? Well, the program gets you active and challenges your body with 30-minute exercise sessions that you can do every day of the week. You’ll definitely burn calories and build muscle.
But, Will It Work?
If you really stick with this program, you are likely going to get good results. However, it can be difficult to follow it, especially when it comes to meal planning. It might not be something that you can sustain after the three-week program is over, and that might cause you to gain the weight back. So, this might be a good way to go to establish healthier habits, and to achieve some amount of weight loss in a short span of time, but you’ll need to keep working hard long after it’s over.
